Welcome!

Connecting people to Christ
and each other

We are an international church plant serving the English-speaking community in Oslo.

Because of the grace of God leads us to our true home in Christ, we want to be a diverse fellowship that encounters God in worship and experiences the impact of His grace on every part of our lives, our city, and wherever God leads his pilgrim people next.

Sunday
Worship
Services

We would love to have you join us for our weekly worship service and lunch!

When: Sundays at 11:00 am

Where: We meet in Uranienborg Parish House (Uranienborg Menighetshus), Daas gate 17.

What to Expect: We are a new church plant and still forming our church community and culture. As such, many of the ministry groups we dream of are not yet implemented. We would love for you to be part of this gospel movement as we develop and grow!

Our services are informal with a mix of both old and new Christian traditions to reflect the wide variety of denominational backgrounds and cultures represented in our community.

We welcome people of all ages to participate in our services. During the sermon, children ages 4-9 (birth years 2015-2020) are invited to children’s church, where they can engage in age-appropriate, Bible-based learning activities led by screened and trained volunteers. Children’s church participants will rejoin their parents in the main room during the last song of the worship service.

Although we do not yet have a staffed nursery, there is a space with baby toys available for the use of parents and their very young children as needed.

We enjoy a meal together after the service!

What We Believe

The Bible is God’s authoritative Word, guiding everything we know and do.

Scripture teaches God’s story of redemption of which we are a part.

    • Creation: God created all things and humankind existed in perfect harmony with God, with each other, and with the rest of creation.
    • Fall: Humankind chose to rebel rather than participate in God’s good design and was thus totally alienated from right relationship with God, deserving his eternal punishment.
    • Redemption: The good news is that God never gave up on his people and restored this broken relationship through his Son, Jesus. God’s Son lived a perfect life, was rejected and crucified, took the full punishment that we deserved (giving us his perfection in exchange), and then defeated death by walking out of his own tomb. Jesus currently reigns over everything from heaven, yet is with us through the Holy Spirit, and is making all things new.
    • Restoration: We, the church, participate in this remaking of all things as the Holy Spirit works in us and through us. We look forward to the day in which Jesus returns, the world is free of all brokenness, and we are present with our God forever.

As God’s family we meet together to worship him weekly. We share in each other’s lives, providing a home for God’s family no matter where we’re going or where we’ve come from.

We strive to spread Gospel Truth among our families, in our city, and throughout the world.

Meet Our
Church Planters

Andrew and Laura Kate Lupton have served the international church since 2011. Andrew was born and raised in western North Carolina, while Laura Kate spent her childhood in east Tennessee and North Carolina. Both sensed a call to ministry while studying at Campbell University, where they met. They were married in 2005 while Andrew was studying International Business. He received his MBA from the Lundy-Fetterman School of Business and then went on to complete an MDiv from Covenant Theological Seminary. Laura Kate studied Piano Pedagogy at Campbell and later completed a Masters in Elementary Education from the University of Alabama.

In 2013 the Luptons moved to Bogotá, Colombia, to work with the United Church of Bogotá, one of the world’s oldest international churches. Andrew served as senior pastor of UCB, overseeing a beautiful revitalization of the church that God brought about. Laura Kate served as children’s ministry director and co-led the music team. It was during this time that God developed the Luptons’ hearts for serving transnational migrants through starting and strengthening international churches.

In that vein, the Luptons moved to Oslo, Norway, in 2022 to plant an international church to serve the English-speaking community here. They love exploring this city and getting to know the diverse people who live in it. Andrew and Laura Kate have three children - Fox, Evie Jude, and Lucy.

Jonas and Pattie Stava have served the global church for 15 years in Taiwan, England, Mongolia, Jordan, the U.S., and now Norway. Jonas was born and raised in Norway and Pattie was born and raised in California. Jonas felt called to ministry after working with YWAM in 2010 and Pattie’s call came after she finished her master’s degree in 2011. They met in one of the largest bookstores in the U.S., Powell’s Books in Portland, Oregon. Jonas has a degree in Apologetics and Worldview from Gimlekollen School of Journalism in Kristiansand and Oxford University, a masters degree from Westminster Theological Seminary, and a Doctorate of Ministry from Knox Theological Seminary. Pattie has a degree in Communication and Music from California State University Long Beach and a masters degree from Multnomah Seminary.

After Jonas finished his studies at Westminster Seminary, he and Pattie felt called to serve the church in Jonas’ home country of Norway. They moved to Norway in 2019 and after working in two church plants have now moved to Oslo to help plant Grace Church. They enjoy God’s beautiful creation in Norway, taking long hikes, connecting with all types of people, and trying new foods. They are eager to see the ways in which God will move in Norway and are so thankful to be serving this city and people. They have three beautiful children ages 6, 4, and 2.

About Us
We belong

Community

Community is the context for discipleship. The Christian faith is not intended to be lived in isolation; we were made for a relationship with God and for relationships with each other. We belong not merely to a local church, but to a people.
